In this guide, we’ll look at how to create and manage territory immobilizations. Territory immobilizations are used when issuing citations and are displayed as “Additional Actions” you may have to take to immobilize a vehicle when issuing an infraction like towing a car for example.
To begin, click the “Enforcement” button from the menu on the left of your screen, then, select “Manage Citations.”
From the citations tab, click on “Immobilizations” from the menu at the top of the screen.
This will display all existing immobilization devices within this territory. To create a new one, press the “New Immobilization Device” button in the top right corner which will prompt you to complete a short form.
This form asks you what immobilization device you would like to add (boot, barnacle, or towing the car), and to set a fee associated with the use of the device that the parker will have to pay on top of any fees for violations.
Once you’ve completed the form for the new immobilization device, press “Submit,” and you'll see it listed among your other immobilization devices.
If you want to manage an existing immobilization action as opposed to creating a brand new one, from the “Immobilizations” tab, use the blue pencil or red trash can action buttons to the right of the specific immobilization action you want to edit. The pencil button will bring up the same form seen above and allow you to edit what the immobilization device is, as well as the fee associated with it, while the red trash can will delete the immobilization device. Deleting an immobilization action is permanent and irreversible.
