In this guide, we’ll look at how to issue citations and warnings to parkers using the Smart Parking Enforcement app.

To start, click on the “Citations” button from the home page of the Smart Parking Enforcement app.

This will open your list of previously issued citations, if any. To create a new citation, use the clipboard button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

This will open a form for you to fill out in order to complete the citation. First, you’ll be asked whether you’re issuing a citation or a warning. Next, you’ll want to select the site at which you’re issuing the citation, as well as which side of the street the infraction occurred on if applicable.

Next, you’ll be asked for information about the vehicle like plate number, state/province, make, model and colour.

Once you’ve completed the vehicle information, select the specific violation that occurred as applicable at the selected site. Different sites will have different violations registered within them. Some may be incredibly specific, while others may be as vague as “parked illegally.”

You’ll then have to select any immobilization devices used under the “Additional Actions” dropdown menu, as well as how the citation was attached.

Finally, enter any remarks you would like the parker to see, as well as any notes you’d like your enforcement team and property manager to see.

Once you’ve done this, click on “Create Citation” to finalize it.

If you want to manage an existing citation, select the citation you want to manage, then use the red print, blue e-mail, or yellow new citation buttons to do so. By using these action buttons, you can print out citations, email copies of them to parkers, or create a brand new citation without needing to navigate back to the citation menu.
