In this guide, we’ll go over how to use the audit function on the Smart Parking Enforcement app. Auditing will allow you to quickly scan a license plate to see whether or not a vehicle is parked illegally, letting you keep tabs on your site more efficiently.

To start, open your Smart Parking Enforcement app and click on the “Audit” button from the dashboard.

This will bring up a list of all active permits at any lot you have been assigned to. From here, you can use the search bar to locate any license plate with an active permit, or, press the camera button in the bottom right corner of the screen to bring up the scanning function.

When you use the scanning function, the app will bring up your device’s camera, allowing you to scan the license plates of any vehicle. To scan a license plate, approach the vehicle you wish to scan and stand approximately 8-10ft away from it, placing the plate in the middle of the frame. Once you’ve done this, press the green “Play” button at the bottom of your screen to run the scan. Once the scan has been completed successfully, you’ll be shown whether or not the vehicle has an active permit.

To examine the vehicle’s permit status and/or take additional actions against the vehicle, click on the license plate number icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.

This will display further information about the vehicle’s status at the lot, such as whether they have a daily or monthly pass, whether they have a special permit, VIP status, or are banned from the lot entirely.

This information will inform your decision to “Ticket” or “Ban” the vehicle by using the action buttons by the same name at the bottom of the screen, or simply click “Next” to return to the scanning page without taking any additional actions.
